Your P.A.L. Kat

for anyone who knows me AT ALL, sleeping in, staying in bed, vegging out, and going to movies alone is not Kathy’s norm…

but, alas, that is what my day has consisted of thus far…

1. woke up at 730 with jon…he got ready for work.

2. then we snuggled in bed and watched good morning america for a bit before he had to leave at 840…

3. then i ate some cheerios for breakfast…

4. then started watching regis and kelly, and fell back asleep…TIL NOON people!

what the heck!  i NEVER do that…i usually get up and start doing every meaningless thing i can think of around the house or run errands, be a responsible adult and take care of responsibilities…etc….but not today…today, I RESTED!

5. woke up quite grumpy at NOON, since i never had my morning coffee…showered…

6. rode my bike to the movies…saw MAMA MIA, alone…loved it!

7. rode home, and am vegging on my bed, eating strawberries, watching news, and being pretty unproductive…oh wait, i made two phone calls for my responsible life when i got home and took the dogs potty…

this feels weird…i dont do this!  is this abnormal, or is it just me? i feel selfish… why does taking care of yourself sometimes feel so selfish…well, im trying to not analyze it, im just saying…maybe i just needed this day for me…i dont do that EVER…maybe i should?  whatever…i might take a nap…

here sre some favorites of mine from this past week that i got to share with my niece angela…she was here for a week, went to CAT theatre camp, and hung with aunt kathy and uncle jon…it was fun because i am working at the CAT camps this summer and so i got to spend the whole time with her…she was FABULOUS!

the following  are pics from the daily costume contest that began on tuesday of camp…i couldnt not have her participate, what kind of aunt would that make me?  it was fun gathering costumes everyday…

tuesday= DECADE day… angela was a hippie with a peace sign painted on her face and a flower…she won the costume contest that day…

wednesday= fav. broadway character… angela was ANNIE…isnt she cute?  she even had freckles…

thursday= SUPER hero day… angela was E.G. aka Earth Girl…this was her slogan…”I’m Earth Girl, my friends call me E.G.,  I’m here to save the planet one recyclable item at a time….EG is my name and recycling is my game!”  she was a HIT…uncle jon desinged her EG logo…and she had a plethera of recyclable items attached to her body, including a plastic bag cape, starbucks lids w/ straws for earrings, and a milk carton for a purse…it was great!  we created this Super hero this all on our own…

Friday= COLOR day… angela was in the purple group and she wore lots of purple that day, even her purple roller blades we found at the goodwill! SWEET!

and then some…

all week was full of rehearsal for their showcase performance that was held friday night in corona (she ROCKED IT), swimming, eating fun meals, playing with bella endlessly, watching movies, and going to a play…her wek was full of “the ARTS,”…she saw a musical theatre cabaret performance, went to a theatre camp, watched musicals at home, went to see a musical at REDLANDS bowl (wizard of oz), and most of all, got to perform herself in a SHOW!  im sure she is all theatred out…

it was so much fun having miss angela here…the doggies already miss her and so do we…love you little miss…

sean, my older brother sent me these pics of my nephew the other day…they are adorable…

i have to say, evem though i dont get to see my nephew sean jr. all that much, i am still so proud of the little man he is becoming…he looks so grown up and oh my goodness does he look my brother…WOW!

I am proud to announce, I am the new owner of the Deluxe Elite Rewind Bagless, cyclone powered Hoover vaccuum…here she is folks, isnt she pretty?

i know i know…some of you are going, wht they hey kathy?  but if you knew my father, you would know why im excited about this vaccuum…it rubbed off on me…what can i say, i love to vaccuum…but not as much as doing laundry…

i know, im weird, so sue me…im gonna take her out of the box now..i already love my hoovie and am so proud of her…and she hasnt even started walking yet!

this week has been BUSY…my niece is here stsying with jon and i…she has been doing CAT camp all week…we have been busy dressing up every day for the cosume contests, singing, dancing, and acting….playing awesome games and getting messy….and then some…

then we come home and hang out some more…its been awesome…

tonight is the showcase performance…they have been working all week on a show that they get to perform tonight…

so since i cut my hair back in februry and returned to the blonde world, i realized how quick my hair grows…went for a cut and color today and i love freshly cut hair…dont you?

theres something about leaving the salon and feeling like your hair is the bounciest hair out there at that very moment in time…and you know what im talking about when you know you love the way its styled when you leave but you know you will never get it to look that way on our own…so its so fun for like 2 days, but then you have to wash it and then i am sad…silly i know, but anyone who gets their hair did understands this…

all this to say, i got a trim today…and it will soon grow just enough to be irritating my neck again, but for now, it feels WONDERFUL darling!

ooooh, its bouncy!  well, i think its bouncy!  and one more thing…can i just say…i LOVE short hair…it is so much easier!
