two pups in the tub!
yeah, most people take pictures of their kids in the bathtub together…jon and i…we take take pictures of our puppies in the bathtub together…arent they cute?
pre-wetness…the back of the tub is the safest…
ahhhhh….time to get clean
they look sooooo happy huh?
gte it off, get it off….
still in shock…
well, i know baths arent the most fun…but they sure do smell clean and i know they still love us…
this was one part of our sabbath…the rest was hanging at the house, and we went to the cheapie movies to see smart people…good flick…ellen page is great! evan went with us…and then i made us all dinner…and we went on a walk with the pups to grab an ice cream at dairy queen…

well, we went…and let me just say…Coachella is crazy….entertaining, but crazy
i love to people watch, and jon and i had a great time doing that last night…can we say INTERESTING array of folk at the festival…Jon and i had the “VIP” status wristbands, and figured out finally what that meant…it meant we got to go hang out in a really cool area with what appeared to be more “normal” people, or just “older” folk…it was refreshing…after seeing all the teenie boppers and hippies, goth, freaky, and others, mixin in with people who were not dressed up for the occasion, or should, undressed up…yeaj, jon and i were in jeans and sweatshirts and flip flops…quite the minority…anywhoo, i dont have any exciting photos, but my husband got some, go to his blog to see “some” of the interesting things we saw…
well, we got there, walked like a mile to the entrance, got inside, i had to pee….gross, every porta-potty was empty of t.p. and there were sights and smells i wont write here just cuz you dont need to hear about it…wandered all over, people watched, ate a burgeritto and garlic fries…walked some more, showed up at the VIP area, sat by a tree, people watched some more, went to find a good viewing spot of the stage…got coffee (i was dozing at 10pm, seriously?), people watched, jack sang, we danced as he sang…then we left, walked another mile to our car…and off we went…we had a great time together, i always like doing new adventures with jon…but we were both so tired…and we were thinking of sleeping in our car and going back today…hilarious! no really, we had fun…it was just what did i say before…INTERESTING!
oh, here is a pick of us making out, cuz everyone else was, so we thought, what the hey? i mean, i like kissing my husband…
oh yeah, jack was cool….he didnt seem to fit in with the crowd either…
well, it was a fun night…we were exhausted driving home…man, i feel old!

that jon and i are going to see jack johnson perform at the coachella music festival this evening..
jon got some VIP passes for doing all the graphic crap… he did like signs and banners and stuff…so, we got passes to go to the festivities al weekend if we want…but for sure we are seeing jack… can you say…AWWWWEEEESOOOOMMMEEEE! (pretend to sing that) my husband is the best…he gots the hookups! yeah baby!

So, saturday was suppose to be the “go to claremont to the Earth day thingy”…well, we gals got there, and saw that it was much like a room of people being lectured on how to “go greener…” dont wanna toot our own horns, but we gals didnt need to be lectured that day, nor did we want to sit…so, needless to say, it waant what we expected…
so what else is there to do in claremont on a saturday…well, there’s always the knitting shop that elizabeth realllllly wanted to explore…so we did…heather and i bought some yarn, cuz ellie is suppose to teach us how to make scarves…good times!

waiting at claremont juice co. for our lunch…summer, heather, and elizabeth contemplate life…hmmmm, oh wait, where do we go after lunch?
um, IKEA!!!! love spur of the moment crap…
here is our basket full of IKEA treasures…oh, and we got soft serve to top off the shopping trip…
and home we went…where heather and i hung out all night with hot dogs, martians, and computers while jonny was shootin’ a weddin’ with bob man…

i was reminded today of a certain “song”…
it was over 10 years ago when i first heard it…wow, im getting old..any who, i looked at the lyrics tonight and realized that a very highly possible reason why i heard that song 10+ years ago was to know i had some huge challenges ahead in my life back then…that ine day i would be the girl who is in this first verse…
and, i am proud to say, I AM!
so, here are the lyrics from a blast from my past…love song for a savior, by jars of clay:

so much of the paat 10 years of my life have been a series of ups and downs…now, not just little whoosh ups and downs, im talking WHOOOOOOOOOOOOSHHHHHHH ups and downs…partly my own fault…but i know now that without those “whoosh” moments, i wouldnt be who i am today…and who i am today is far more balanced, happy, and in “awe” of God daily…i know my struggles were for a reason…i thanked Him in the midst of them…i learned we need to thank Him in those times…we need to praise Him, and amazing things always end up happening…
i never thought i would be where i am at…so that goes to show you, God’s plans continually trump our own…
okay, enough spouting…just remembering where my path to HIM began…

yesterday, i didnt work..could have, but didnt want to…instead…
spur of the moment, decided to meet nee (sissy) at the big “D”…
oh and aedy-boo bumpkin head!
i havent had a great last few days, and seriously, some sister time was so needed…she made it all better…we dissapeared into the magic, at least for a few hours…

i said smile for auntie, and the little booger listened…NICE!
aedyn experiencing playhouse disney for the first time…ahhhhhh
we went to also get some ice cream and the buuuuuurrrrrrrrbank ice cream shop…sugar free butter pecan, yummy…got to sit and chat about “life”…and then it was time for auntie/sissy to go home…thanks sis and aedy-boo for making my not so great week better…you guy so know how to make me SMILE!
