this is why my blogging has been scarce…ive been bogged down with school…what ever happened to the idea of simplicity? hmmmm, maybe i need to slow down…
the thing is, i feel like i already have, a TON…but its my mind…my mind races with tasks, responsibilities, chores, what has yet to happen, etc…all things that shouldnt consume my brain so much, i know, so here is a shout out to everyone who is around me alot…remind me to slow down, PLEASE!

What kind of woman, would not going to the ITL awards on SUNDAY, March 9, 2008 at the Landis Auditorium 7pm… make me?
(pardon the RAGTIME pun)
anywho, for those of you who didn’t know, ITC (In The Company) got nominated for 15 awards…usually in the past, I have not gone to these awards, but we are all so proud of this production, and would like to go as a group…also, because it was Bill’s last production with ITC…we want to go on honor of what is one of the best ministries around that he started 12 years ago…anyway, not boasting at all, just honored to have been a part of this show, this ministry, this amazing message…

okay, so i have found a new hobby…its mindless (as helen, my stepmom says), calming, creative, and there is never any hurry…which for me is hard to come by…i always find myself needing to slow down…so, i have found a new way to help me chill out once in a while, now granted, i just started this new hobby…i dont even know if im good at it or not, but the cool thing is, i dont care…i like it!
i admit it…i have fallen into SCRAPBOOKING!!!!!!!
i have taken one class now…and have had a scrapbooking day with my stepmom to start my first book…it will be on “our honeymoon”…
now, mind you, im not one of those people who expects to be all gung-ho, crazy scrapbooking, have every little gadget, spends countless hours on one page, etc…but i will say i will be dabbling in the scrapbook world for special memory projects, for gifts, or just for some down time for myself…also, this is a great way to help my “visual” creativity, since i um, have none…thats jons job…so, wish me luck…im a newbie!
here are some pics of my first pages…im so proud…lol
my first pages…
my first , first pages from my “beginning” scrapbooking class
my next pages experimenting with cut-outs and dyes
and….my first “honeymoon” pages…
so, this is not fantastic, but its a start…yeah!

well, as most of you know who actually read my blog, jonny-ri’s and my weekend was not as we expected…go here to read all about…
never the less, it ended up being exactly what we needed…just time together, with some great laughs and one of my most favorite games…SKIP BO…played this game endlessly with my grandma baird (god, i miss her sometimes)…she was the funniest lady, stubborn as all heck, loved unconditionally (literally)…and, could cook the “most” amazing biscuits and gravy on the planet…seriously, dont even try to top g-ma bairds biscuits and gravy folks, never gonna happen…anyway, back on track…
jon and i when we got home sat. night, mosied on over to a lovely coco’s dinner, where i enjoyed a steak (my favorite) and then to panera, to enjoy their cafe blend coffee (so yummy) and a carmel pecan brownie…and we played skip bo…it was seriously one of the best nights i have had in a while…and it was so not what we planned…goes to show you “we” are not in control, even of hotel reservations…but wonderfully satisfying just the same…i got to be with my boo, eat a steak, drink coffe, and play a game…now really folks, what for me, kathy, gets better than that?
so much satisfaction in the small things…thats what matters…
