ok, so i am crying…of course…i just read my husbands most recent post about me, his “weepy wife”…go and read it if you dont know what the heck im talking about…him posting this shows just how much he does feel, how he is moved by things…we just show it in different ways…i am a blubbering fool, and he is a thinker, and i can always tell if something moves him by his expressions…and apparently when i bop up and down from a little diddy i hear and he notices out of the corner of his eye and calls me adorable…that there is a perfect example of what gets us both going…my being me gets to him and him being him and noticing my silliness and embracing it really gets to me…as i am now posting about it and crying…a good cry…

i love my husband with all of my heart…he is my prince…and i am forever his “weepy wife.”

did i happen to mention that TOBY is cage-free?

yes, as of a week ago today…i guess i forgot to mention it…its very exciting…so cute too cuz he still likes to go into his cage to eat his food….im sure that will stop soon…he is already back to sleeping in my crotch, or at our feet…whichever!  my bubbas is back…woohoo! and im so happy to see him happy and frolicking again….especially with his sister who is 5 times his size, but he still shows her whos boss!  go get her toby!

YEA for a healthy doggie again…we are still really careful when we hold him and pet him…but he is all better…sigh! isnt he cute…jon takes the best photos of animals, my goodness my husband is talented!

so, we are on day 3 of being sick…but i must say i am feeling a thousand times better…so what does that mean?

i want to get up and start doing things….but no…jon stopped me from getting ahead of myself, i pouted a bit, made him mad at me, but then i apologized after realizing how silly i was being and that he just wants to take care of me…im such a jerk sometimes, i dont know how he puts up with me…so alas…

we had another chill inside the house day…played a few of our new games, one was a dud!

took a little trip to the library…woohoo, i got out! then came home, cooked up some skillet chicken n veggies and rice for dinner and now we are sitting some more…

oh yeah i read a bit today also!

just checking in with the blog world…hoping to feel better for the new year! holy crap, thats tomorrow!

can you guess?

well, if not, i will tell you…I HATE BEING SICK!!!!!

but, hey, i guess its good for me…it gets my immune system working to its fullest, and it does one more thing…it forces me to um, not do anything…well, if my husband is around it forces me to not do anything…something i find very hard for myself…does this say something about my priorities…maybe i dont take enough time to just slow down during the day…who am i kidding, i know i dont…i need to work on this…really!  i know i have said this a thousand times before, but i really need to…any suggestions?

i mean, for example…here i am cooped up all day, feeling literally like SHIT, excuse my french…but seriously, its like 815 and i conjure my way into a little drive to the plaza to hear a dear friend singing and get some starbucks to boot!  now really folks, this made my entire day!  i just cannot stand to sit aorund, its not in my blood, my genes, my personality, so to speak…its just not KATHY!

my husband was so sweet, he said yes to his pathetic looking sickly migraine having, snot infested, red nosed wifey and said yes to my suggestion, as long as we sat in the car and listened from afar!  let me tell you, i was in!  so we wandered over in the caliber to the plaza, with the kids in tote, to the west end of the plaza where my lovely and dear friends leslie ellis was singing one of her many gigs…she was so lovely to hear, although we only heard 3 songs…fever, autumn leaves, and fields of gold…most of it we sat about 100 feet away with the windows down and the heat blazing on our feet…but she was glad to see us…im glad it put a smile on her face, even if i did look like a piece of, what did i say before, oh yeah, SHIT!

one thing i hate most….feeling AND looking like SHIT…good thing jon still thinks im adorable!

and of course, i just had to blog about all this because well, what the hell else am i doing?

last night, my brother doug dropped in for a quick hello…he was in the area doing some stuff, and called me up to ask if he could drop by…

it was really nice to get to see him, in an element outside of huge family gatherings…

doug is so fun to be around, and he has a heart of gold…i got to speaking with him a bit last night about marraige and him as a husband….and i have to say i was so impressed with who he wants and says he is responsible in being for his wife debbie…i wont get into details as its not important…i am just really proud to call him my brother and i admire his constant desire to grow…he is a good man…

In conclusion to our festivities….we somehow ended up walking away with 6 games this holiday season…

any of you who knows jon and i, knows that this was like hitting the jackpot for us…we now have added the following games to our collection:

balderdash, in a pickle, catch phrase, finish line, scene it suqabble (which we really have been wanting) and harry potter 2nd edition scene it…

WOOHOO, thanks santa!  here they are…

it just kept going…my hubby, jon and father in law did pulled off a pretty cool gift i asked for…i asked my father in law to sing o holy night for me, as it is now officially my favorite christmas carol…amazing lyrics and story within it and so many lessons, if only we could all see life this way?

well, yesterday when we got home from being up at my dads house for the holiday, jon out of nowhere started playing o holy night, sung by bill risinger…i immediately got tears in my eyes, of course…it was so beautiful, i have to share…here it is…

now i have it forever added to my chritmas music rep…YEAH! thanks bill! and little does bill know, i will be requesting many more recordings in the near future….i mean my birthday is in february and all…
also, my bro-in-law micah, recorded his papa singing it on christmas eve at svcc…here is that video…

Well, we showered and headed up the hill to my dads…jon and bella enjoyed the ride…

how cute!

when we arrived, we settled in and visited with everyone…it was a wonderful afternoon and evening spent with family…we ate lots of tamales and pasoli ( i think thats how you spell it)…relaxed, did our annual GIFT exchange…jon and i ended up with great gifts…i will share later…anyway, we played games, ate some more, and then went off to bed…here are some pics of our time at papa bears…

Well, we awoke…i put on the coffee…started the breakfast bake jon and i prepared the night before…we are a good team!

we started a new tradition in our house this year…i adapted the christmas story into a script and we all read it out loud for the first time…we did it readers theatre style…there were 3 narrators (MOM, SUMMER, ME), Gabriel the Angel (JON), Joseph (SHANE), and Mary (Dee)…oh, and of course baby Jesus was played by Aedyn…it was fun, then we dug into breakfast and mimosa’s…opened stockings, did our little gift exchange, and then it was time to get ready for the trek up to the mountain home of h and h
